The Potomac Valley Chapter (PVC) of the ARS has extended an invitation to our chapter to attend their District 9 Meeting in Annapolis, MD. The chapter will be holding our first second plant sale of the season at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens on May 11.
This is the annual sale of azaleas for the Northern Virginia Bonsai Society.
This is our annual cutting and plant exchange. This year, we will also feature presentations by several of our members on their gardens.
This is in place of the prior years azalea sale to the public at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. Members and guests will be able to roam the NV-ASA chapter azalea collection at the Beck's house and purchase plants.
The chapter will meet at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church to hear a speaker (to be determined). We will also be holding a plant exchange, so bring your extra plant(s) to share and take advantage of the opportunity to add to your plant collection.
Annual holiday potluck social. In addition to the social aspect, we will hold our annual meeting to vote for officers, approve the budget and approve donations for the year. Members are asked to bring a potluck dish to share.
The speaker our March meeting will be Don Hyatt, speaking on "Garden Art and Accents, plus a Touch of Whimsy".
This will be a joint meeting with the Potomac Valley Chapter of the ARS
